Hello families! Today, we worked on writing sentences. The kids wrote some very organized Spring sentences for our hallway. We also added teddy bears in math and read "Bear Wants More". We made another flower decoration for our school today as well. Have a great day!
What a great group of kids! Today, they worked hard at sounding out three letter words, practiced the /u/ sound, added during math time, and made flowers for Spring. We also read the book, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. They loved the story! Just a heads up, we will not be having library for two weeks due to the book fair. Have a great day!
Hello families, Today we worked on sounding out words, adding small numbers, and we read a new take home book. We also took a little time to clean up our room. Please watch the news to see if we have school tomorrow. Have a great evening and go Bombers!
Today we sounded out words and added in math. We were unable to visit the computer lab because our group wasn't working very hard and reading took a lot more time. In the afternoon, we went to the high school for our pep fest. Tomorrow is a half day. Please remember that Friday is a questionable day-we will see the results of Thursday's game!
Today we worked hard to finish our end of the quarter testing. We wrote our letters and numbers. We visited with our Above the Line Groups and also went to the library. For snack, we ate a healthy green snack consisting of apples, snap peas, and kiwi. Tomorrow, we will go to the pep fest during the afternoon. On Thursday, students will be dismissed at 12:15. School on Friday will be determined by the game on Thursday. Have a great day!
We worked hard today on sounding out words. We began adding small numbers in math using objects. We also made a St. Patrick's Day hat that was sent home in your child's backpack. Tomorrow is library day so please send your child's books. Also, we will be going to the high school on Wednesday for a pepfest and there will be a half day of school on Thursday due to the state tournament. I hope you can attend!
We did a very good job today of working hard and getting things done. We practiced our spelling words, made a graph during math time, and visited the computer lab. We also measured a paper leprechaun and read a leprechaun story; "The Luckiest Leprechaun". Have a great day!
It is a new week, but unfortunately, the same old bugs are traveling around. Today, we worked on sounding out words, making graphs, and we talked a little about leprechauns. We also visited the computer lab and read a story about patriotism. I will unfortunately be gone tomorrow (my kids are still sick), so the kids will be with a sub. They will be sounding out words, practicing sounds, counting by fives, and visiting the library. Hope all is well with you and yours!
It was great to be back today! We sounded out words, graphed during math, talked about Minnesota, and read a new take home book. We have our first spelling test tomorrow (the, is, see, here). I think the kids will do great!
Well, I am gone again! I will be home with sick children for a day or two. Today, the kids will be having an Above the Line group meeting, going to the library, and sounding out words. Tomorrow, they will be working on graphing in math, sounding out words in reading, and visiting the computer lab. They will also be looking at more maps. Have a great day!
Today we read two stories; Wanda's Roses and Little Bill Goes to the Dentist. We also discussed maps and tried a very cool website: http://www,iknowthat.com On this site we completed a US state map. Tomorrow is library day so please send your child's book. Have a great day!
