adjusting. We practiced numbers to ten and created some compound words
(catfish, starfish, blackberry, etc). We also visited the library and

Today we worked on letter writing, counting, and journaling. The kids
are learning that in kindergarten, they do not need to spell like the
dictionary. They just do their best to sound out a word. I will not
correct them. I always have them read their journal to me, rather than
reading it myself. I explain that it is sometimes hard for grownups to
read kindergarten writing. They are doing well with this! Have a great
day!

List', which will be available to you during the book fair hours. They
worked very hard today! Have a great, sunny, day!

I am back...Well for a day!

Hello! After being gone for two days, I returned to a class that had
done well for the substitute teachers. The kids have been working on
their numbers to 5, decorating the room for harvest, and practicing
letters Uu thru Ww. I will unfortunately be gone again tomorrow. The
children will be working on letter X, counting, numbers to 5, and
coloring for harvest. They will also visit the computer lab. I will
finish the quarter testing on Friday and prepare everything for
conferences as well. Information about report cards and conferences will
be sent home soon. I will be back on Friday and hopefully my family will
be healthy and rearing to go!
