Today we worked very hard! I was so impressed with the children and their ability to focus. We practiced sounding out words, counting by 2s, and practiced our new words (like, too). We also made a project for the story "The Mitten". Have a great day!
Today we stayed in from recess. Hopefully the warmer weather is on its' way! We also worked on sounding out words, counting by 10s, and visited the library. We had our first Above the Line Group meetings today, so check your child's folder for more information. Have a great day!
The kids worked hard on sounding out words today. We completed four pages in our reading workbooks, which is a lot of work! We started counting patterns today, such as counting by 5s and 10s. We also visited the computer lab and read "The Hat". Tomorrow, we will start something called "Above the Line Groups" in which children get to switch rooms and meet with other teachers and kids and work on being above the line. More information will be sent home tomorrow. Thanks!
The kids worked on sounding out words and rhyming today. They especially liked the Batman activity on the Smartboard! We also worked with reader pals on making snowman windsocks and we finished up our penguin unit today. We watched a small excerpt from March of the Penguins at the end of the day. Have a great weekend!
Today, the kids worked with a sub so that I could complete testing for the end of the quarter. I will be sending report cards home next Monday. The kids talked about penguins today and practiced the numbers 20-29. The kids also visited the computer lab and went outside for gym. Have a great day!
Today we worked on sounding out words, finding the beginning sound of a word, and counting. We will be talking about Martin Luther King Jr this afternoon and the kids colored a space book with reader pals. Talk again on Wednesday!
What a nice day! The kids worked very hard and we got a lot done. We practiced sounding out three and four letter words. We also practiced numbers 10-20 and counted by 1s, 5s, and 10s. This afternoon, we will be discussing Martin Luther King Jr. Have a great evening and be safe in the cold!
What a great day! The kids did a great job of keeping it together today, even thought hey were very excited to see everyone. We practiced beginning sounds, counting to 20, read a story about the wind, and made snowmen to decorate the hallway. Tomorrow is library day so please send books if you still have them.
